Seeing RED

My mixed-media piece "Sh'viti Hashem: Healing Hatred" will be in a group show titled, "RED: Artists Lifting One Voice in One Common Thread" at Peace and a Cup of Joe, 713 W. Pratt Street, Baltimore, Maryland. The show runs from December 1, 2007 through January 11, 2008.

There will be an opening reception for the show on December 1 from 3 to 7pm, in conjunction with World Aids Day.

RED is a visual exhibition of original artwork expressing the artists' hopes, fears, experiences, and dreams about the struggle with HIV/AIDS epidemic in this country and around the world. A portion of the sales of artwork for this event will be donated to CARE's I AM POWERFUL Campaign and HIV/AIDS Program.

The reception will feature an opportunity for guests to make their own postcards to express their thoughts and feelings about HIV/AIDS courtesy of Creative Cause an organization that creates campaigns for causes that change communities for good. Special guests include representatives from CARE who will share information about how you can help fight HIV/AIDS in your community or around the world.
