We're here!

Art lovers and coffee lovers are gathering at Beanetics for the artist's reception for Ashira Malka's show, "Nothing to Say, Something to Show." Today's reception also features live music by acoustic guitarist Ace Elijah. There's plenty of time before the Super Bowl starts, so why not come on down to join us for a little "high culture" before the game?

  1. I like the way she uses shape -- she uses the full canvas. I also like the way she uses color--it's organic.

  4. I find the artwork beautiful. It provides a subtle, different kind of perspective on things. It's complex and elegant. It's very visually appealing, and I enjoy it more and more as I look at it.

I really like Four Worlds. It provides a single frame in which to consider four different modes of existence. It captures that interplay--the four levels on which life exists. It's expressed very beautifully.

Mayan Desert Day really encourages me to go over and find every detail in the image and find what it means. I want to move deeper into all the pictures to find all the details in them.
