Alex's interest takes two forms:
1. Manipulating Buckey Balls with LED lighting
The Buckey Balls photographs are interesting explorations of colored light and tessellation, often giving an other-worldly sense, reminiscent of computer-generated graphics for science fiction movies.2. An exploration of light, shadow and line in the world around him.
Alex has a way of looking at industrial pieces and parts of nature and capture a symmetry of pattern and texture. This is evident in the juxtaposition of "Leaf" and "Bike Rack" currently on display across from the coffee counter.
Alex's work will be on display through January. Stop by and check it out and be sure to leave us a comment in the comment box!

Very impressive presentation! I'm looking forward to seeing your development over time...
ReplyDeleteI really like both collections. The point of view on the black and whites is really complementary to the proportion and shape of the objects being captured!

ReplyDeleteAttending the art show and watching my brother happily talk about his photography for hours to friends, family, and strangers has been one of the moments in which I was proudest to be his sister.
